Personal Style in Photography (available February 2027)
We’ve all heard the expression “the camera looks both ways.” As photographers, we spend most of our time peering through our viewfinders or staring at our computer screens. We focus on the world “out there” and we hone our shooting and processing skills to record that world successfully.
But what if we turn the camera around and point it inward instead? What if we stop using it as a recording device and instead make it a tool for personal expression?
This presentation challenges you to explore your unique vision – of the world and of yourself – and to express that vision with images that reflect your personal photographic style. Examples from Kas’ and other photographers’ portfolios are discussed and some helpful exercises are also provided.
Format: 90-minute presentation
